Dental implants from our Watford practice are a fast, effective and permanent solution to tooth loss. Do you feel embarrassed about gaps in your smile where you’ve lost teeth? Perhaps your lack of natural teeth is causing you additional problems, such as a cosmetic change in your facial appearance, or difficulties eating and speaking? A consultation with our dentist, Adrian Mullish, will give you the opportunity to find out everything you need to know about having dental implants fitted, the benefits they can provide and the Biocon implant system we use here in Watford.
What is a dental implant?
Unlike traditional dentures, which are secured in place using suction or clasps, the titanium root of a dental implant is placed into the jaw with a view to it fusing with your jawbone. This provides you with a very secure anchor on which your dentist will place a natural looking crown. Local anaesthetic is used during the procedure to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible and this type of treatment has a very high success rate. Many dental implant patients have reported that these new permanent teeth are still going strong 30 years after having had them fitted. With such a secure fitting, dental implants shouldn’t fall out, or move in your mouth. You’ll be able to smile, speak and eat with increased confidence.
Implant supported dentures in Watford
If you have more than one tooth missing in a row, we can use dental implants to support dentures or bridges and provide you with as many replacement teeth as you need. You won’t be able to remove these permanently fixed dentures, they shouldn’t move around and it’s highly unlikely they’ll accidentally fall out of your mouth, which is sometimes the case with traditional dentures.
You don’t have to put up with having teeth missing
The sooner you can book a consultation with Adrian, the more likely it is you can have an implant fitted without complications. Adrian has been fitting natural-looking dental implants at his Watford practice for many years and has transformed the smiles of hundreds of patients.
It’s also worth noting that the cutting edge Biocon system he uses should help avoid the need for a complex bone graft, a more involved procedure which is necessary with other implant systems. We invest in our technology and the techniques of our practice members to ensure our customers get the best possible service.
If you’re ready to smile and talk with confidence again, please give our friendly reception team a call to book your consultation. Dental implants should help you eat crispy, crunchy foods again and help you feel better about your smile. We look forward to meeting you. Please get in touch.
